The festival holds history and significance and took place at Ura
Lhakhang in Bumthang. By observing sacred dances, visitors gain insight into
the beliefs and beliefs of the Bhutanese people and their culture. The

Gain insight into the beliefs of the Bhutanese
Ura Yakchoe refers to a sacred dance held at Ura Lhakhang of Bumthang.
The festival provides a deeper understanding of the beliefs of the Bhutanese
people and the traditions followed in this beautiful and fascinating country.
The festival features a history of Lama and young women. It is believed that if
Lama ever visited a woman in his house he asked for a glass of water. When he
went to fetch water when he returned he found that the woman had disappeared
leaving a sack. The woman peeked inside the sack and found Chana Dorje's limb
also known as Vajrapani who was the protector and director of the Buddha. From
there, the statue is held by a female descendant and is in the middle of Ura
Yakchoe when the statue is taken down the valley to Ura Lhakhang followed by
dancing and drinking in procession.
Once the visitors have finished witnessing Ura Yakchoe, they can go in
and explore the beauty of Bumthang. Home to some of the oldest Buddhist monks,
Bumthang is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Bhutan. Bumthang has
four villages and each one is full of farms that produce potatoes, rice, buckwheat,
cheese, honey, buckwheat, apples and dairy products. The Bumthang holiday will
